DAY 0
- Our journey commences from Delhi at approximately 9:30 PM, boarding an AC Vehicle.
- Remember, every moment counts; seize the opportunity to relish each moment along the way.
- We'll make a pit stop for dinner at a decent roadside restaurant.
DAY 1
- Departure from Delhi during the night and arrival in Shimla the following morning.
- Enjoy breakfast and refreshments in Narkanda.
- Embark on the scenic journey towards Chitkul, the final Indian village before the China border.
- Immerse in the breathtaking landscapes of the Kinnaur valley.
- Overnight stay in Sangla.
DAY 2
- Rise early to witness a stunning sunrise.
- Discover the charming village of Chitkul. Depart for Kalpa around noon.
- Arrive in Kalpa by evening, check into the hotel, enjoy dinner and rest for the night.
DAY 3
- Stay overnight in Kaza.
- Get up early and begin your journey to Spiti Valley after breakfast.
- Enter Spiti Valley through the Sumdo Border, stopping to explore Nako and Tabo villages on the way to Kaza.
- Experience the exhilarating Ka Loops before reaching Kaza by evening.
- Check-in at the hotel/homestay, enjoy dinner and rest for the night.
DAY 4
- Perched atop a hill and offering serene vistas of endless plains, Key Monastery is renowned globally as a hub of learning and a sanctuary for seekers of tranquility.
- Next, venture to Asia's highest suspension bridge, the Chicham Bridge.
- Discover some of the planet's loftiest inhabited areas.
- Ascend to Komic, the highest village in Asia at (4,513 meters), home to just 84 residents and often isolated from the outside world.
- Then, proceed to Hikkim, where you can mail postcards from the world's loftiest post office.
- In Langza, journey back to Spiti's prehistoric past when it lay beneath the Tethys Sea. Unearth a trove of marine fossils, a testament to this region's rich geological history.
DAY 5
- Rise early, enjoy breakfast, and check out of the campsite.
- Set off for Chandra Taal lake.
- Make a snack stop at Losar, the final village in Spiti Valley.
- Arrive at Chandra Taal by evening, settle into the camps.
- Dine and spend the night in tents, gazing at countless stars and the Milky Way Galaxy above.
DAY 6
- Wake up early morning & after breakfast depart for Manali.
- Reach Manali by evening.
- Check-in to the hotel.
- Old Manali cafe crawl.
- Dinner and sleep overnight.
DAY 7
- Rise early to savor the stunning sunrise.
- Embark on a self-guided exploration of Manali. Must-visit spots include Hadimba Devi Temple, Old Manali street and Mall Road.
- Head towards Delhi in the evening.

Conquering the high mountain passes of Spiti Valley with this group was an absolute dream, from the rugged terrain of Kinnaur to the sacred halls of Key Monastery. We started as total strangers, but after navigating windy dirt roads and sharing hot cups of seabuckthorn tea in cold mountain villages, we became a tight-knit crew. Standing at Chicham Bridge looking down into the deep gorge was a major highlight, made ten times better by everyone hyping each other up for photos. The itinerary balanced thrilling off-road driving with peaceful monastery visits perfectly. I arrived solo and left with high-altitude memories�and friends�to last a lifetime.
I was a bit hesitant about joining a high-altitude expedition to the Trans-Himalayas, but it turned out to be the best decision of my year. The energy was electric from day one when we met up in Shimla. Exploring the ancient mud architecture of Tabo Monastery, camping beside the glowing turquoise waters of Chandratal Lake, and taking the bumpy drive through Kunzum Pass felt like traveling on another planet. Our group dynamic was incredibly warm and inclusive, meaning no one ever felt left out. Sitting around a traditional chulha stove sipping hot thukpa on a freezing evening was pure magic.
This was my first time visiting the Trans-Himalaya region, and doing it as part of a group trip was absolute perfection. The itinerary gave us a fantastic mix of structured sightseeing and free time to explore cozy backstreet cafes in Kaza. The sense of camaraderie built up so fast�by night two in Kalpa, our dinner table felt like a family reunion. The views of the Kinner Kailash range were breathtaking, but the real highlight was the incredible people I got to share those moments with.
