Day 1
- Arrival at Srinagar and check into your stay. After we freshen up, we will go visit one of the famous Mughal Gardens in Srinagar. In the evening we will visit the famous Dal Lake where you can enjoy Shikara Ride.
Day 2
- After breakfast, we will drive towards Kargil. On our way to Kargil we pass over Zojila Pass. Stop at Drass, the 2nd coldest inhabitant place in the World. Then drive along the Drass River till one arrives at Kargil.
Day 3
- After breakfast drive for Leh en route Lamayuru passing through Namikala & Fatula Passes, the highest pass on Srinagar – Leh road. We would visit the Sangam of the Rivers and then head towards Leh and experience a phenomenon of nature on the Magnetic Hills. We will also visit Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Kali Mata Temple & Sputik Monastery.
Day 4
- Post breakfast we drive to Nubra Valley. The road journey from Leh to Nubra Valley passes over Khardung La (The Highest Motorable Road In The World) at (5,602 meters)/ (18,390 ft), around 39 Km from Leh. From the pass, one can see all the way south over the Indus valley to seemingly endless peaks and ridges of the Zanskar range and north to the giants of the Saser massif.
We can also do River Rafting at Shyok River. Visit Dikshit Monastery on the way. It is situated in the north of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. The average altitude of the valley is (10,000 ft). above sea level. Upon arrival in Nubra we check in at our Guest house in Hunder for Overnight stay. Later visit the white sand dunes at Hunder where you can enjoy the Double Humped Bactrian camel ride.
Day 5
- Wake up to wonderful Sunrise, today we head towards Turtuk, located on the banks of shyok river is the the penultimate village open to foreign tourist before POK.
- The landscape, culture, language, clothing and even the physical features of people change quite drastically crossing over into Turtuk, technically entering Baltistan.
- We return to Hunder in the evening to Spend the night here.
Day 6
- Early Morning after breakfast we leave for Pangong Lake via Shayok Route. Pangong Lake, is situated at (14,000 ft.)(4,267 meter). A long narrow basin of inland drainage, hardly six to seven kilometer at its widest point and over 130 Km long, it is bisected by the international border between India and China. Enjoy the landscape in the back drop of the Lake. One rarely feels so close to nature and environment and the scenery is unforgettable).
Day 7
- After an early breakfast we will leave for Leh en-route we can take a short halt at Changla pass to enjoy a cup of hot steaming tea. Enroute, we stop by at Hemis & Thiksey Monastery, Shey palace, Rancho School & Sindhu ghat, we then proceed further to Leh. Spend your last evening roaming the Leh market and buying souvenirs for you friends or family. Dinner & Overnight at Hotel in Leh.
Day 8
- Trip concludes. Transfer to Leh Airport to catch the morning flight to your back home and return with fond memories.
