DAY 1
- Arrival at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in the morning. Arrive by 11:00 AM and proceed for Shillong after breakfast.
- After lunch, visit Umiam Lake and then head to Shillong market for shopping.
- Check-in at the hotel and freshen up.
- Overnight stay in Shillong.
DAY 2
- Start your day with a delightful breakfast while soaking in scenic views.
- Afterward, check-out from the hotel and head to the serene Lyngksiar Waterfalls, known for its natural beauty.
- Next, proceed to explore the mesmerizing Arwah Cave, a site renowned for its stunning formations and captivating atmosphere.
- Following lunch, journey towards Cherrapunjee, a destination celebrated for its natural splendor.
- Upon reaching Cherrapunjee, visit the magnificent Nohkalikai Falls, one of the region's most breathtaking cascades.
- Conclude the day by checking into your hotel, relaxing in the peaceful surroundings and enjoying a delicious dinner before an overnight stay at Cherrapunjee.
DAY 3
- Begin your day with a hearty breakfast before setting out for Tyrna Village.
- Upon arrival, embark on a trek to the captivating Single Root Bridge, a marvel of natural engineering.
- Continue your adventure to the iconic Double Decker Living Root Bridge, experiencing the unique beauty of this extraordinary site. The trek involves approximately 3,300 steps one way, totaling 6,600 steps for the round trip.
- After completing the trek, make your way back to Tyrna Village and proceed toward Cherrapunjee.
- On arrival, check-in to your accommodation for the night. Take time to refresh, relax and enjoy the tranquil ambiance of Cherrapunjee.
DAY 4
- After breakfast, begin your day with a visit to the fascinating Mawsmai Caves, known for their striking limestone formations.
- If time permits we do the bamboo trek (note that bamboo trek is subject to opening and time constraints).
- Next, head to Mawlynnong Village, celebrated as one of the cleanest villages in Asia.
- Later, proceed to Shnongpdeng Village, where you will check in to camps located by the crystal-clear Umngot River, also known as the Dawki River.
- Spend the night camping in this serene location. Please note that accommodations in Shnongpdeng consist of Alpine or Dome Tents with shared washroom facilities. The setup is basic with mattresses or sleeping bags provided for your comfort. The camps are situated near the river and surrounded by stones, so the approach may be slightly challenging at times but the experience is well worth it.
- Enjoy the tranquility of the riverside for an unforgettable overnight stay.
DAY 5
- Enjoy breakfast with a view of the crystal-clear Umngot River at Shnongpdeng.
- Engage in various water sports activities on the Umngot River.
- Have lunch at a local restaurant in Shnongpdeng.
- Depart for Shillong, stopping enroute to visit the scenic Krang Suri Waterfall.
- Upon arrival in Shillong, explore the local market known for its vibrant atmosphere and diverse offerings.
- Overnight stay in Shillong.
DAY 6
- Enjoy a delicious breakfast.
- Check-out and depart for Laitlum Grand Canyon.
- Later depart for Kaziranga and reach Kaziranga by evening hotel for check-in.
