Exclusions
- 5% GST.
- Early check-in (before 1:00 PM) and late check-out (after 11:00 AM) at the hotel.
- Any additional expenses of personal nature.
- Additional accommodation/food costs incurred due to delayed travel.
- Cost of any spare part used due to accidental damage incurred when the motorbike is in the rider’s possession.
- Cost incurred to transfer or tow the motorbike in case it is dropped on the way.
- Any lunch and other meals not mentioned in the package inclusions.
- Any airfare/rail fare other than what is mentioned in “Inclusions,” or any type of transportation from Delhi to Delhi.
- Additional costs due to flight cancellations, landslides, roadblocks, or other natural calamities.
- A security deposit of Rs. 5,000/- per motorbike. As per the deposit policy, this amount is refundable if there is no damage or spare part used by the end of the trip. The amount will be refunded within 5 working days.

DAY 1
- The group will assemble at the designated pick-up point in Guwahati, where a brief introduction by the trip captain will take place.
- Afterward, we will begin our journey towards Nameri National Park, located on the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas. This biodiversity hotspot is home to rare flora and fauna, including elephants, tigers, hornbills, and more.
- Upon arrival, we will check into our stay surrounded by the natural beauty of Assam’s wilderness. The evening is free for leisure.
- Dinner and overnight stay in Nameri.
DAY 2
- We will begin our day with a river rafting experience on the Jia-Bhoreli River.
- After breakfast and the morning activity, we will head towards Dirang, a scenic hill station known for its cool climate and picturesque views of the Eastern Himalayas.
- Upon arrival, check into the hotel and unwind for the day.
- Dinner and overnight stay in Dirang.
DAY 3
- After breakfast, we will leave for Tawang, a charming town nestled at an elevation of over 10,000 ft.
- En route, we will pass through the stunning Sela Pass and halt at Sela Lake, a high-altitude glacial lake surrounded by snow peaks.
- We will also visit Jaswant Garh, a war memorial dedicated to Rifleman Jaswant Singh Rawat.
- Upon arrival in Tawang, check into your hotel.
- In the evening, travelers can explore local cafes or enjoy the mountain views at leisure.
- Dinner and overnight stay in Tawang.
DAY 4
- After early breakfast, we’ll set out for an excursion to the iconic Bum La Pass, located near the Indo-China border at an altitude of 15,200 ft. The road to Bum La is scenic and adventurous, surrounded by snow-covered landscapes for most of the year.
- Later, we will visit the serene P.T. Tso Lake and the beautiful Madhuri Lake (also known as Shonga-tser Lake), named after the Bollywood actress from the movie Koyla.
- Return to Tawang by evening.
- Dinner and overnight stay in Tawang.
DAY 5
- After an early morning breakfast, we will head out for a local sightseeing tour where we visit the Tawang Monastery known as Gaden Namgyal Lhatse in Tibetan which is the largest monastery in India.
- We will also visit the Urgelling Monastery which is one of the oldest Gompas in Tawang and is also the birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama.
- Afterward, we will go ahead to witness the Giant Buddha statue which is 30ft tall and overlooks the upper regions of Tawang from an elevation of 10,000ft.
- Afterward, we will visit the Chakzam bridge which is almost 600 year old and is suspended over the Tawang River.
- Afterward, we will visit the Tawang War Memorial which is a shrine dedicated to the Indian martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the Indo-China War.
- We will also watch the Light and Sound show that is organized in the memorial every evening and then head back to our hotel.
- Dinner followed by an overnight stay in the hotel.
DAY 6
- After breakfast, we will begin our descent towards Bomdila, a quiet town known for its lush greenery, Buddhist culture, and panoramic views of the Himalayas.
- En route, we will stop to visit the stunning Jung Falls, a popular waterfall that gained fame from the film Koyla.
- Upon arrival, check into the hotel.
- Dinner and overnight stay in Bomdila.
DAY 7
- After breakfast, we will make our way to Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Assam.
- Known for its thriving population of the Great Indian One-Horned Rhinoceros, Kaziranga is also home to wild buffaloes, elephants, Bengal tigers, and countless bird species.
- Upon arrival, check into your stay surrounded by the beauty of Assam’s wilderness.
- Dinner and overnight stay in Kaziranga.
DAY 8
- Early in the morning, we will head for a Jungle Safari to explore the park’s stunning terrain and get a chance to spot the rare wildlife in its natural habitat.
- After the safari and breakfast, we will drive to Guwahati. Upon arrival, check into the hotel and relax for the evening.
- Dinner and overnight stay in Guwahati.
DAY 9
- After breakfast, we will check out and head for our onward journey with beautiful memories from the Eastern Himalayas.

Riding through Sela Pass on two wheels with this group was an absolute adrenaline rush from start to finish. From navigating the twisty mountain bends out of Dirang to standing before the majestic Tawang Monastery, every single kilometer was unforgettable. We started as individual riders and backpackers, but after tackling rough weather, sharing hot cups of butter tea, and helping each other tune our bikes, we became a solid crew. Stopping by the serene, frozen shores of Sela Lake was a major highlight. The itinerary hit the ideal balance between intense riding and quiet cultural moments. I came solo and left with incredible mountain memories and a brotherhood of lifelong friends.
Taking on Arunachal�s high mountain passes on a combined biking and backpacking expedition was easily the best decision of my year. The high energy was infectious right from our briefing in Guwahati. Riding up through misty pine forests, exploring historic gompas, and camping near the high-altitude Sangetsar (Madhuri) Lake felt like exploring a completely different realm. Our group dynamic was super supportive�riders and backpackers constantly cheered each other on and made sure no one was left behind on long road stretches. Sitting around a warm stove sipping piping-hot thukpa on a freezing night in Tawang was pure bliss.
This backpacking and biking trip exceeded every expectation I had! The local leads and support vehicle team handled logistics effortlessly, allowing us to focus on acclimatizing, enjoying the roads, and soaking in the views. Major highlights included watching the morning sun hit the golden roofs of Tawang Gompa, stargazing under pitch-black night skies in Dirang, and riding up to the snow-covered heights near Bum La Pass. The bonds forged over shared thermos bottles of chai, engine chats, and endless laughs were genuine. If you want a raw Arunachal road trip without stress, this is it.
