The Buran Ghati trek was an absolute dream, but what truly made it unforgettable was the group I traveled with. We started off as total strangers at the base in Janglik, but by the time we reached Ghangaria, we were laughing, sharing meals, and looking out for one another like old friends. Walking into the actual pass area was surreal�endless expanses of snow, misty mountains, and roaring glacial streams. The climb to 15,000 feet was physically tough, but the constant encouragement from everyone in the group pulled me through. I came on this trip solo, but I left with a heart full of memories and a fantastic group of lifelong friends.
Trekking through the Himachal Himalayas to reach Buran Ghati is something every nature lover should experience at least once. The sheer variety of landscapes is mind-blowing�from Dayara meadows to the glacial Chandranahan Lake tucked between the rocks. Doing this as part of a group added a whole new layer of joy. We shared energy bars during tough uphill stretches, sang songs to keep our spirits high, and celebrated together at every campsite. The sense of shared accomplishment when we all rappelled down the snow wall was indescribable. I could not have asked for a better team or a more scenic adventure.
The Buran Ghati trek strikes the perfect balance between adventure, natural beauty, and human connection. Moving as a team through misty valleys and dense pine forests created an instant bond among us. The altitude climb was challenging, especially during the Dhunda pass push, but the collective morale of the group kept everyone moving forward. The trail itself looks like something straight out of a fairy tale when the fog clears to reveal miles of alpine grasslands. Sitting together in cozy mess tents in the evening, swapping life stories, made this trip feel like a home away from home.
